Eduardo Meneses, a California native, joined the Santa Barbara Symphony as Principal Percussion in April 2008 and from 2011 to 2013 performed as a musician for Cirque du Soleil’s Iris: A Journey through the World of Cinema at the Dolby Theater. He is also an active freelancer, having performed with such groups and artists as John Williams, Danny Elfman, Randy Newman, Journey, and he can often be seen performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Eduardo graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in percussion from the University of Southern California in 2005, a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008, and a graduate certificate from USC in 2011, where he studied with James Babor (Percussion, Los Angeles Philharmonic) and Joseph Pereira (Principal Timpani, Los Angeles Philharmonic).
