Jonathan Colon is a Puerto-Rican born cellist, raised in the U.S and started playing cello through El Sistema Lehigh Valley. Since then, Jonathan has gone on to play principal positions and participate in the Edinburgh International Festival, The National Take a Stand Festival, The Artists Program Chamber Music Festival, the YOLA National Festival, MidAmerica Productions, New England Music Camp, Luzerne Music Camp, YOLA National At Home, Young Musicians String Festival, among others. He has worked/toured with artists and ensembles such as Gustavo Dudamel, The Ballroom Thieves, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Bach Choir Of Bethlehem, John Rutter, Thomas Wilkins and many more. He has also performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, The Barbican Centre, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Usher Hall, and Tynecastle Park, in places like London, Scotland, and the U.S. Jonathan is also a pupil of Robert Demaine, principal cellist of the LA Phil, Jameson Platte, among others.
