About this Artist

Gregor Lopes, Deaf, Queer and Latino, was born in Brazil and raised in Florida.  He moved to NYC to discover himself in the performing arts. Gregor uncovered his passion for performing when he put American Sign Language to music. He has shared his creativity with The Shed Cultural Center in NYC and at Little Island, part of the Hudson River Park. He has performed in both Broadway ASL and DeafBroadwayproductions of Company and The Phantom of the Opera. Most recently he participated in Deaf West’s Oedipus Workshop. Gregor is honored to be a part of this collaboration between Deaf West Theatre and the LA Philharmonic. Gregor is represented by KMR.
