About this Artist
Jesus Aguilera is a 16-year-old composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He has been a percussionist for seven years, while also playing instruments such as the trumpet, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboard. Jesus was able to win a scholarship through the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation and attend The GRAMMY Museum’s GRAMMY CAMP Experience in 2020 and 2021, learning about the ins and outs of the music and industry as well as music production, helping him learn how to navigate digital audio workstations easier to produce his own music. When it comes to composing, Jesus looks up to film composers such as John Williams, Michael Giacchino, and Ludwig Göransson for inspiration, hoping to one day be a film composer who can leave a legacy on the industry like they have. Jesus attends Norwalk High School, where he is percussion section leader for the GRAMMY Award-winning Norwalk High School Wind Ensemble, as well as the drummer for the NHS Jazz Ensemble and drum captain for the NHS Marching Band. Outside of music, Jesus enjoys biking and watching films. Jesus Aguilera is a 2021/22 fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program.
