About this Artist
Billie Myers is a 2022/23 fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program and has been a fellow of the program since 2020. Billie is a 17-year-old senior at Wildwood School who studies composition independently with Dr. Ian Krause and is a Vocal Fellow at the National Children’s Chorus, having been a member since 2015. Billie has performed with his choir many times including as part of the children’s chorus in the Grammy winning performance of Mahler’s 8th Symphony. Billie has been playing piano for over 5 years and has been learning the harp for almost 3. In the summer of 2022, Billie participated in Sunset Chamber Fest and wrote the piece “A Home that Moves” for cello and xylophone. They were also accepted into the Composition program at Interlochen Center For The Arts, where they were thrilled to work with Timothy McCallister who performed as part of the saxophone quartet in their piece “Sequoia Scars”.
