About this Artist
Bryan Chiu (b. 2004) holds the Steven Stucky Fellow Chair in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program and was previously a 2022-2023 composer fellow. His string quartet “Variation and Repetition” was premiered at the Borromeo Music Festival in Switzerland during the summer of 2023. Other premieres include a horn quartet, and a collaborative brass trio, both of which he performed on. Most recently, Chiu was commissioned to write a horn sonata which will be performed and recorded at Carnegie Mellon University. Alongside composition, Chiu is also an active performer, currently studying horn performance at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
