About this Artist

Evan Williams is a 2022/23 fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program. Primarily a guitarist and cellist, Evan has performed at the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival with the LAUSD All-City Jazz band, at Davies Concert Hall with the WorldStrides Honor Orchestra and sat as principal cellist with the CSUN Youth Symphony for the 2021/22 season. He is also an award-winning composer, winning first place in the instrumental composition category of the 2022 Spotify/LAUSD “Beat Battle.” As a composer, Evan is fascinated by world and film music, and loves to incorporate elements of many different styles into his music, taking inspiration from everything around him. Evan is currently 17 and a senior at North Hollywood High School. In his free time, he enjoys reading, photography and finding new music.
