About this Artist
Cindy Figueroa is a costume designer and stylist whose work bridges fashion, opera, and visual storytelling, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and character-driven design.
Born in Colombia and raised in Spain, Cindy began her journey in the fashion world at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid at the age of 18. After completing her degree, she moved to Milan to pursue a Master’s in Fashion Design at the Istituto Marangoni, graduating with honors (cum laude).
Her passion for travel and cultural exchange has been a defining influence in her work. In 2011, she was recognized as the most popular designer in Madrid, marking the beginning of her career dressing celebrities. Since then, she has built a strong presence in the fashion industry, styling for red carpets, premieres, advertising campaigns, television, and editorial publications. Alongside her styling work, she has also given masterclasses at leading business schools.
Cindy further expanded her expertise with a Master of Management in Luxury Companies at IE Business School, where she graduated top of her class.
In recent years, her practice has evolved into costume design for performance, notably collaborating with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on opera productions, including Das Rheingold in 2023. This work marked a significant step into the operatic world, where she applies her fashion background to create visually compelling, narrative-driven costumes.
Today, Cindy continues to work internationally, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to each Project, combining fashion sensibility, technical precision, and a deep understanding of character and storytelling.
