Twenty-eight-year-old French pianist David Fray makes his Hollywood Bowl debut in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, Tuesday and Thursday, July 27 and 29, at 8 p.m. The all-Beethoven program for both evenings, led by 32-year-old conductor Spanish Pablo Heras-Casado, also in his Hollywood Bowl debut, includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica.”

David Fray, noted for his impressive musicality and technique as well as his inventive and sensitive interpretations, received the Jury Award “Newcomer of the Year 2008” from BBC Magazine for his Bach/Boulez CD.
