    Mozart 1791 Concerts Highlight the Music from Mozart’s Final Year

    WHAT:

    Los Angeles Philharmonic Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the orchestra begin the 2017/18 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall with music from throughout Mozart’s illustrious career.  

    The LA Phil’s Opening Night Concert & Gala on Tuesday, September 26, at 7pm, highlights Mozart’s early works, starting from his time in Salzburg right up to when he left for Vienna. Pianists Yefim Bronfman and Yuja Wang, as well as vocalists Anna Prohaska and Tim Mead, join Dudamel and the LA Phil for this program.

    The Opening Night Concert is followed by Mozart 1791, a series of concerts featuring music from Mozart’s prolific final year. Concerts will include the last piano concerto, the Clarinet Concerto, selections from The Magic Flute and other works from the last year of his life.
