Go Vegetarian for Concerts on November 10 and 11

Los Angeles, CA (November 2, 2017) – Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine – inspired by James Beard Foundation award-winning Chef Suzanne Goin and business partner - Caroline Styne, and operated by Sodexo Sports & Leisure – is transforming all of the Hollywood Bowl’s food venues to vegetarian during Morrissey’s two-night stand November 10 and 11. Morrissey, a vegan, has been a longtime animal rights advocate and a proponent of a non-meat eating lifestyle.

All of Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine menus by Suzanne Goin include multiple tempting alternatives for vegetarians and vegans. For the first time, in tribute to Morrissey, these menus will be completely vegetarian, showcasing a vast array of flavors and celebrating the best of California’s local and seasonal ingredients. Highlights include:

    Kitchen 22:
Instead of meat burgers, the venue will offer several non-meat options, including a falafel burger with cucumber, yogurt and tomato; grilled cheese with comté cheese and caramelized shallots on Larder Baking Company sourdough bread; avocado toast with burrata and harissa; and a mushroom burger with grilled onions, monterey jack and russian dressing.

    Street Foods & Snacks:
In a tribute to the best in California street foods, the various stands throughout the Hollywood Bowl will feature non-meat versions of their usual offerings, such as tacos with cauliflower and tahini yogurt; or with potatoes, raja and cilantro. The hot dog stand goes all-vegetarian with toppings of avocado crème and pickled onions; red and yellow roasted peppers; or caramelized onions and golden raisins.
