About this Performance
Louis Langrée illuminates the night with Berlioz’ radical fantasy about an artist consumed by love, passion… and opium-induced fever dreams. French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins the orchestra for Ravel’s Concerto in G, which offers a depth of emotion and feeling beneath its light-hearted and glittering surface.
Due to injury, conductor Jonathon Heyward has withdrawn from this concert. In his place, Louis Langrée will conduct this program.
